I was at Bishop Arts and craving authentic Salvadoran food. My bf and I heard Jefferson was the spot for latin food and stumbled on this place. We had all the pupusas on the menu and it hit the spot! Humble, low key spot and very nice staff.
This places is nearly tucked between I-35 and Dallas' Bishops Arts District right off of Jefferson Blvd. If you want to try Latin authentic cuisine, their pupusas are awesome. My gf showed me this place and it's become our casual date night. When the current events pass, we'll be right back at this place.
Nothing much to say but this place is really good. Don't really take a lot of chances at mexican places because the food is always watered down. But sometimes i do give them try and i got to say i wouldn't mind coming back. They are not over priced either.
OK---being totally honest---this place was not my original destination when I was in the heart of OC yesterday...I was headed for another restaurant down the street that was closed. As I was walking back to my car the smell of food cooking coming from this place reminded me of the cooking smells at my mom's ant tia's house --- so I decided to give it a try. When you walk in the smell of grilling meats and great food hit your nostrils! The menu behind the counter had some menu items, but no prices. So I let my tummy do the ordering and ordered 4 tacos...2 Al pastor and 2 Barbaquoa, side of beans and soft drink from Mexico. The owner took my order and told me to have a seat---food was bit slow to arrive--but you could tell that it was being prepared fresh in the back!! Tacos came out bulging with meat---not being skimpy here---they were very flavorful. Beans were bit bland --- the total bill came out to be $16 for lunch -- a bit pricey --- but tacos were definitely worth $2 each!! Mexican soft drinks were $2 each and I had 2---I will be by again :)
GREAT FOOD, FABULOUS SERVICE, & GREAT PRICING! I come here and never leave unsatisfied, their sopes and fajitas are bomb!! Definitely will keep coming back .
